Obituary of John Meilleur
John Meilleur of Orleans, Ontario died on Wednesday, July 4th at the family cottage on Whiskey Lake, at the age of 62.
John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his mother Lorraine of Sudbury, who is in her 95th year.
John is survived by his wife Nicole Bouillon, his sons Jean-Marc and Alex, and is predeceased by his son Vincent and his father Fred. He will be greatly missed by his in-laws Don and May Bouillon and friends Doug and Gisėle, their children and grandchildren.
The second oldest of six children, John is survived by his sisters Barbara (Joseph Fiannaca), Monique ( Wayne Lovett), Maureen (Claude Beaudry) and his brothers, Tom (Kathy Lain) and Maurice.
John was a special uncle to his nephews and nieces and will always be fondly remembered for the fishing trips on Whiskey Lake where he spent most of his time patiently baiting their hooks and untangling their lines.
A proud member of the RCMP, Corporal John Meilleur served with the Prime Minister's Protection Detail until his retirement. John traveled the world through work and pleasure and embraced new experiences.
An avid outdoorsman, John enjoyed spending summers at Whiskey Lake and looked forward to his annual fishing and hunting trips with friends. He loved to cook for people and would often share his cooking with neighbours and family.
John was known for his great sense of humour, carefree attitude, generosity and willingness to help others.
This man was loved by all who knew him.
