I’ve known Fred and the family most of my life since we grew up in lower town , here in Ottawa. We were a sports minded community and we crossed paths a few times. My most cherished memories were at the Bingham parc where we played a lot of touch football as teenagers. Man when Fred was running with the ball, it was like trying to catch up to Secretariat in a horse race. He was gone with the wind. John, Billy, Joanne and extended family, I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. Fred is a great man and he will be truly missed and will always be remembered.

I remember Fred very well. I worked at Boone Plumbing, Star Top Road, for 1 year in 1980. Fred, a client, was always so pleasant, smiling and very respectful towards women. I always liked his personality, very nice man. Sorry for your loss. Sylvie Tessier

Our most sincere condolences to you the Cundel Family on Fred's Passing. I first met Fred when I was a young labour and we both worked for Modern Mech and he was the foreman at the Ottawa public library job on Metcalfe at the time. He took me under his wing and from that point on was a mentor to me on and off for most of my life. With that big smile of his he would often set me straight, he also taught me things about the trade and life that I will never forget , rules that I still use, "thank you Sir". Fred was someone that after meeting once , you would never forget. He was a big man with a big heart and personality, a true gentlemen. He will be sadly missed by so many of us.
Rest in peace Brother Fred
