Obituary of Jean Pierre Carriere

Carriere, Jean Pierre, born on June 21, 1947 in Cornwall, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice, Ottawa, on April 9th, 2021. Wonderful husband of Patricia (nee Colbacheff), father of Carly (Jeff Haydt) and Adrian (Lucile Carrez). Incredible papa to Jacob, Noah and Nora. He also leaves behind his siblings Jeannette (Edgar Lebrun), Nicole (Paul Chamois), Laurent (Douglas) and his nephew Mathieu. J.P. will also be missed by his sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Adrien and Laur. J.P. was happily retired from the Federal Government (Customs). He enjoyed his retirement by travelling, spending time with his family and playing pool with the neighbours. Prior to his retirement J.P. volunteered with the local community association, the scouting movement, cross-country skiing, little league and youth soccer, thereby reliving his own sporting days. His family is grateful to Dr. Ryan, the Ottawa Heart Institute for giving him nine extra years following his heart transplant, the many doctors and nurses at The Ottawa Hospital for his five years of treatment, and the palliative care staff.
