My deepest condolences to the family. I had the privilege of working closely with JP in the Ministerial Correspondence Unit. It was always so comforting for me to know that JP was there. I could always rely on JP's advice, guidance and expertise. His depth of departmental experience was without equal and he was truly rock solid. What a colleague and confidant. JP spoke often of his family which was his source of joy, love and pride. What a gentleman.

My sympathies to the family. J.P. and I worked together at Customs in many different capacities back in the “good old days”. We always found time for a laugh, even when the workload got heavy and those dreaded time-sensitive “blue slips” kept coming in.

My sincere condolences to JP's family. I had the pleasure of working with JP in many capacities over several years. JP had a quick smile for those he cared about, and always let us know how he felt on matters that were dear to his heart.
Most important to him, far above comma placement or the opening paragraph of a letter from the Minister, was the love he had for his family. Each year we got to hear about Hallowe'en and Christmas and see Pat's beautiful gift for decorating.

Our deepest sympathies to Patricia, Carly, Adrian and family on your loss of J.P. Both Lisette and I worked with JP for a number of years in Customs where he was a mainstay on Ministerial correspondence. Away from the office, I have very fond memories of playing football with JP on the Customs team in the RA League. He was a great athlete, our team leader and quarterback who made his presence known on the field.. After retirement Lisette along with Norma Lachaine and Bernie Aubin got together for lunch several times a year with JP to catch up on retirement life.
JP will be fondly remembered and our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
