More than a mother-in-law, Mrs. G was a mother figure & friend to me! We first met when Marc and I started dating. I was 17, Marc was 16. She and Mr. G were wonderful to me from the start! They had an "open door" policy towards all their loved ones, and their respective "dates". The likes of which I never experienced before. To this day, I feel I won the lottery with this warm, accepting and loving family!! Not only did I have a wonderful boyfriend/husband/father to our son Adam, but I gained an entire family who always made me feel like a part of their world.
Mrs. G's warmth and caring extended beyond her own family and friends. She welcomed and included my daughter, Catherine, my hubby, James, close friends and my family members, into her fold. Everyone who met her felt the same...she was one special woman!
I will miss the many hours we spent together talking, laughing, eating chocolates, discussing family (she always wanted to have updates on what was going on with my loved ones), family Christmas dinners she so looked forward to and doing puzzles! I will miss her sense of humor and words of wisdom! I am sad that she was not able to meet Adam & Catherine's son, Benjamin or Shannon's daughter Kezia!
As much as there is great sadness at losing this wonderful woman, I'm grateful that she is no longer suffering! I believe she's with Mr. G and Marc once more and will forever be watching over her many loved ones. Rest in Peace Mrs.G. Thank you for everything! Much Love, Sandra
