Obituary of Gerald O'Neil

Following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Montfort Hospital. He will be forever missed by the love of his life of over 58 years Viola “Vi” (nee Poitras). Pre-deceased by his parents Ebby and Anne O’Neil along with his brothers William, George and Robert. Gerry leaves behind his adoring children Dan (Madeleine), Susan (Dan) and Deborah, along with his grandchildren Melissa, Kathryn, Michael, Benjamin, Danika and Mackenzie. He was also a very proud “Big Papa” to his great-grandsons Loki and Joey. To everyone who knew him, he was an Aviation Engineer, a neighborhood handyman, sports enthusiast, and devoted friend. The family is deeply humble and forever grateful to the incredible staff in 4C at the Montfort Hospital for their intuition, care & compassion. In lieu of flowers the family invites donations to be made in celebration of a life well lived to the Parkinson's Society. In light of the Covid-19 virus, condolences may be offered at www.heritagefh.ca. A private Ceremony will take place in the Heritage Funeral Complex Chapel.
