Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
It's with sadness that I learned of your passing. I hope that your crossing over, to the other side was painless as mom, dad and Gisèle welcomed you home. In almost 83 years, you fathered two beautiful women who love you dearly. They will miss you terribly but I am sure that you left them with very fond memories, as you did for your four grandchildren and your great grand-child.
Many years ago, you were very kind to me and I never forgot it. You were supportive and helpful when mom and dad were sick and both of us were left to take care of the household. Then a few years later when Gisèle was born, I had to take care of her because mom was not strong enough and they even took me out of school in late May so I never graduated. You encouraged me and advised me to be strong. You were the only one who helped and understood me. I never got the chance to thank you, "big brother", but "Jello" and I did introduce you to his big sister whom you married. Remember, I cried at your wedding, that's where our relationship, as we knew it, changed forever.
When mom passed so many years ago, I learned that those we love never go away, even when they cannot physically be there, they walk beside us. Still loved, and still missed.
All good things must come to an end, rest now big brother, you earned it.
Our deepest convalescences for you Therese, Joanne and Brigitte, as well as all of Eugene's loving family and friends. As the love and memories live on in our hearts and souls, your guardian angel will watch over you forever.
