To Pauline's family,
It's Good Friday/April 10 and I just read this news of Pauline's death. I am deeply saddened to read this news. I worked closely with Pauline on the Keep The Promise project, a joint initiative of friends of June Callwood and the Canadian Teachers' Federation. I have had a long career in education. Rarely have I met someone who brought so much intelligence, care, creativity, passion and charm to her work. She was kind, forward-thinking, creative, firm, generous and joyful. She played a vital role in the success of this initiative to eliminate child poverty in Canada. And the work has born fruit --- just one of Pauline's many legacies. I met Pauline through a group of women living with metastatic cancer. We all leaned on each other to navigate our paths. Pauline was bright, hopeful and a lovely gentle spirit. She was genuine and kind, and so nice to be around. I had dinner with her not long ago and we all laughed, shared ideas and stories. I will miss you Pauline. We all will miss you. I am heartbroken for you. For us. I know how much you loved your children and your family. Rest In Peace now.
