It is with a great sadness I learn of James "Jim" passing. My condolences and sympathy to his family some of whom I met with fond memories. I was with Jim at his work's Christmas party and won a prize which l gave him for allowing me to the celebration. I have known him since I first moved to Ottawa almost 28 years ago. He had great adventures. I was there when he first got the call for his job at the hospital. And when he first was diagnosed with the horrible diabetes. I still remember staying at his parent's house and waking in the morning to chat with his parents about Y and R lol. You were a great friend old man and will always miss you! God's speed old friend!!

To the Scales family,
Our deepest condolences on the news of Jimmy’s passing. David and I have not seen him in years and yet, just hearing his name immediately brings huge smiles to both our faces. Jimmy was so much fun to be around and gave us many, many laughs during the time we were all at the Woodlands Yacht Club. Jimmy was such a character! His loss is heartbreaking.

Dear James's family,
I had the pleasure of training with James as a student this past May/June at the Riverside hospital. James was a wonderful mentor and was very patient with me as I was learning the ropes. He was very funny and enjoyed cracking a joke at every chance he had. I nicknamed him my brown haired Bart Simpson. He showed me the best folding trick in the book! I will always remember him. James was easy to get along with, extremely friendly and welcoming. I was lucky to see him again at his doctor apt. just recently. I'm very thankful I came across James even if just for a short while. I'm sorry for your loss. I wish you strength and courage.

Dearest Carol, David, Tracey and Debra,
Like James would call me: Young Jedi. James and I worked the same employer TOH and more importantly working as a Union Representative. James was a great source of knowledge and wisdom when it came to working for the People, the members. He was an excellent mentor and I learnt a great deal of James. I considered him like my little brother. His smile, laughters and is jokes will be greatly missed.
Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss.
Kind regards,
Pierre Levac

Although we had lost touch in the last few years, you were a friend that could always be counted on and be there if needed. We shared some memorable times in our teens and 20s that I will always look back with fondness and laughter. Love you Jimmy!
