I first met up with Dave at CTC Orleans many years ago. I referred to him as 'Super Dave', which described him and his 'can do' attitude perfectly. I remember the smile, the laugh, the energy and his friendship. We always kept in touch as he went from one adventure to another. He was special and will be missed. RIP Super Dave. Terry Dale

We are the lucky ones to have had someone as caring, compassionate and encouraging as Dave to call our friend in this life. I always loved and looked forward our exchanges and chats about the latest rock news, upcoming concerts (seeing the Foos together) and his show adventures with Parker (like driving all through the night back from Toronto). From our Canadian Tire days to present, Dave’s messages never failed to make me smile, he truly relished in seeing others happy and thriving. Genuine, positive, kind, real, funny, with the biggest heart in the world. I’ve never met such a proud father and husband. Cathy, Rebecca, and Parker you are all in my thoughts and heart during this difficult time.

We'll never forget back in the late 80's when Dave won the Employee of the Year working for Canadian Tire. The joy it brought him as he stood and raised his arms and fists showing such great enthusiasm as he walked up to receive his award. That's the Dave we remember; a positive, energetic, hard working man that deserved every bit of credit that came his way.
We'll miss you Dave.

Words cannot describe how deeply you were loved and respected by your colleagues at Canadian Tire Rockland. We just saw you when you came in for your weekly visit, shared a few laughs, a joking "hey Dave, when are you coming back to work for us" and your modest "Oh no, I probably wouldn't remember 90% of what I knew back then" followed by that contagious laugh you enjoyed sharing with everyone. We were blessed to have had the opportunity to work with you. We will miss you very much, Rest in Peace Dave.

I feel like I have known Dave (and Cathy) forever. We grew up together. Went through many of life’s changes together...marriage and children. I will always remember his smile, his sense of humour and our argument over whether it’s the soap or the hot water that cleans the dishes. Rest now dear friend.
