We were shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of our long time friend and neighbour. We lived across the street from Ken, Madeleine and Gary for 34 years and shared a mutual interest in cars. We cherish the memory of our time together.
We will be unable to attend his Celebration of Live but send our condolences to Madeleine (Ribbit), Gary and Tara.
RIP, Ken.

I would like to send my love and respect the the family and his friends. I had the privilege to call ken(father in law) and Madleen(mother in law) for about 10 years. We had a lot of great times and as I’ve held them in my heart thus long I will continue to do so. They were both amazing people. My ken RIP and the love of his life carry on knowing he loved her dearly. Much respect to Gary(stay strong). I know you will miss him dearly. ❤️

The loss of a good friend is always a tragic event for those who are left behind to miss that person forever. Even more so, the loss of a loving husband, caring father and father-in-law. Ken was my buddy. I shall never forget the day that Art and Ken came to our house in Nepean, sometime in the 80's, and Art announced, "the fat guy wants to talk to you." Ken explained that since the two brothers were alone in Ottawa and I was without siblings they had decided to "adopt" me as a brother. From then on, it was always, "brother Ken, and brother Art". Gary called me "Unk" and my wife, "Aunt Margaret". We had so many fun excursions to car shows , near and far; worked cruise nights and car shows together; even were paired together to judge a few . We also enjoyed quite a number of social activities. Madeleine enjoyed bingo. So one year, on OUR wedding anniversary, we went to an all night bingo after doing some bowling. Ken and I weren't great at this, so Madeleine kept checking our cards out and stamping the numbers we had missed. Great memories with amazing friends. I could go on forever but won't. I am very disappointed that Margaret and I can't be there physically with you all but please believe that we are there in spirit and want to be there FOR you. Rest in Peace Brother. Love and Miss you. Respectfully J. R. Watson

A friend introduced me to Ken in 71-72. I needed my 350 Pontiac Big Block refreshed and add a little bit of power. Ken's orders: drain the oil, take it out and bring it to me. As we were carrying it down to his basement, Ken realized that I had not drained the oil. He was NOT IMPRESSED. When I put it back in Ken came over to wire and fire it up. Car would Not start until he realized he wired it up like a FORD. After break in Ken and I took it to Luskville where I won my first trophy. WELL DONE KENNY.
