Dear Art:
I was planning to attend the mass today, but unfortunately have developed a cold overnight and do not want to give it to others.
Please accept my sympathies on the passing of Anne. Although I had not seen her for a long time and did not know her well, I have memories of her from your time in Nairobi with CIDA's Kenya Program, on which I worked. I recall Anne's kind hospitality. She struck me as a generous and even jolly person, with a good sense of humour and a very welcoming way. I was thus saddened when, the last time I saw you, I heard of her dementia; that is not what we wish for our senior years.
I know that there is nothing anyone can say at this time that can assuage your sense of loss. But I hope there is some consolation for you in hearing from friends who recall Anne with fondness, and send best wishes to you and your family.

Dear Arthur and family,Anne was one of the most creative person I knew,from the knitting and crochet she did for our children from 1970 in west Africa to our return.Beautiful paintings not to forget the many mini quilts for the newborn infant’s at the neonatal care,to the quilt art works she accomplish.The choir she enjoyed so much.You are both very special to Arsène and I.Anne’s simplicity and down to earth attitude has always help to ground me over the many years we have known each other.I don’t know wether she knew it or not ,how she also reminded me of my own sister Anne.They were so alike in their love of crafts, their manner, it was uncanny,they even looked alike to the amazement of the children Anik Gaélle and Sylvia’s.From our family to yours,accept our sincere condolences,know that Anne has left her mark in this world,we should all be thankful that she was in our life’s path.

I knew Anne during her nursing training days at the Hotel Dieu school of Nursing in Bathurst in the late 1950’s. We used to visit her parents in their establishment. Anne was always cheerful and full of life. Their family had a wonderful cottage at the beach. My sympathies to her family..

We all loved your mother, most especially my mother Carmelle Nardini and my grandmother Clementine Nardini.
