Obituary of Winston Caesar

Winston Caesar, a longtime resident of Orleans, Ontario, formerly of Siparia, Trinidad and Tobago, passed into his rest peacefully and surrounded with love on Friday June 21st at 8:34 pm. at the age of 85 years.

Born in Siparia, Trinidad and Tobago to Gaston (father) and Elvira Serrette (mother), the first of six children.

Winston also blossomed under the care and guidance of Mary Caesar, his paternal grandmother, of Coora Road, Siparia.  He attended the Siparia Boys Roman Catholic (RC) School, worked for a time as a welder before discovering his calling at the San Fernando Hospital and later the Port of Spain General Hospital where he worked in the orthopaedic workshop with Carl (Carlie) Coleston, who became a lifelong family friend.

Emigrated to Canada in 1970, studied physiotherapy and worked as a Physiotherapist Adjunct in the Geriatric Unit of the Ottawa Civic Hospital until retirement in 2000.

Beloved father of Terrence, Peggy Ann, and Winston Jr., Winston was a kind and faithful friend to all who were blessed to know him. 

The viewing will be 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Thursday June 27 at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orléans, Ottawa, ON K4A 3P7Funeral Service will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday June 27 at Bilberry Creek Baptist Church, 480 Charlemagne Blvd, Orléans, ON K4A 1S2,

Private Interment with family at a later date.
