My main memory of Wes was from Tim and Trish’s yearly Canada Day Celebration. He was always there at the barbeque looking tanned and fit - making everyone feel special and welcomed with his wry wit and caring nature. He told some wonderful stories and listened to others with ardent attention. I think that’s one of the things that made Wes so precious to us – He concentrated on the details of life … his family, his friends, his country. He gave of himself and was in turn nurtured by the giving. We will miss him. Heartfelt condolences to Penny and Trish and family.

To Wes’s family, friends and Air Force colleagues - Wes was one of my instructors in Chilliwack during Basic Officer Candidate training, circa 1988. Tough but fair, taught me how to “play the game” and always ready to lend an ear. Still one of the few mentors I recall with fondness, 30 years on.
Deepest condolences.

Dear Penny,
It seems like only yesterday when we all first met in Baden.A lot has happened since those great days but the shock of hearing Wes was ill and of his sudden passing causes one to reflect on the great times we had as friends. Please accept our deepest condolences for your loss. Truly he is in a better place but he will be missed.
