We never knew Denis very well; but every once in while, when you guys were taking your daily strolls throughout the park, you would always take the time to say hello and chat a little.. You don’t see too many couples walking together these days. You two never seemed to dwell on your illnesses…you always managed a smile.
As we get older, we seem to value the important things in life. We know how important Denis was to you Elizabeth, and we share in your sadness of losing your friend and partner.
Our sincerest condolences are extended to you and your family.

Denis was the first drummer of the Houle Orchestra (l'Orchestre des P'tits Houle).
He gave us the rhythm which allowed us to believe that we could be successful and play music like the best musicians in the world.
This allowed us to persevere and continue to play music to this day.

How could we have known that when a 4 year old little girl started following this man in a truck who was picking up metal where we were camping that the encounter would turn into 14 years of fond and loving memories as family. Denis & Elisabeth, words cannot express the gratitude and love I have for you both for loving, supporting and teaching my girls about life. When times were tough you were always there for us. Denis, the most patient man I know, would teach these young girls how to steer his truck, would let them tie him up with duct tape, and would sit for hours listening to their stories. We are so blessed and thankful for all of the fun and good times we shared. You will forever remain in our hearts. You will forever be remembered as we reminisce about you. Rest In Peace Denis. We love you! We miss you!
