Obituary of Edward "Teddy" Griffith
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teddy Griffith, after a courageous battle with cancer. Teddy passed away at home on May 26, 2019 in the arms of his loving wife of 36 years, and best friend, Kerrie (nee Richard). He was the beloved and proud father of Adam. He will be missed by his faithful companion Bear. Teddy is predeceased by his parents Ashton and Freda Griffith. Survived by his brothers Johnny (Marilyn), Jimmy (Debra), George (Brenda) and his sister Judy (Gary). He will be deeply missed by his mother-in-law Catherine O’Toole (the late Eric Richard), sister-in-law Sharon Godkin (the late Ron) and brother-in-law Brian Richard (Ann). Teddy was an uncle as well as a friend to David Godkin and Sara Richard. He enjoyed being an uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be greatly missed by special friends Bill Walsh and Brenda “Suzie” Chambers as well as Gerry and Donna Rushford. Teddy wishes to thank the many friends that were there for support and courage during his battle. We would like to extend a special thanks to Bayshore Home Care for the excellent nursing care and support Teddy received. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd, Orléans, Ontario, on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
