Obituary of Francine Poitras
It is with great sadness that Francine Poitras has passed peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the age of 56. She is survived by her loving husband Tom Murphy, daughters Caroline Albert (Jack) and Lisa Edwards (Mike), stepson Eric Murphy (Cassandra), parents Lise and Jacques Poitras and grandson Benjamin Albert. She will be missed by many close family members including Luc Poitras, Jean Poitras, Sylvie Mahfouz, nieces, nephews and friends.
She has touched the lives of so many with her bright smile, infectious laugh and generosity. She was an amazing woman, wife and mother who always lived life to the fullest and faced all adversity head on.
Francine’s family would like to recognize and thank the oncology team at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus for their excellent care and compassion.
A visitation has been planned for Monday, May 20, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Complex at 1250 Trim Road, Orléans, Ottawa, ON K4A 3P7. Times: 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
A celebration of Francine’s life will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Capital City Church located at 1123 Old Montreal Rd, Orléans, ON K4A 3N6.
A reception will follow at Capital City Church.
