As we prepare to say goodbye to Rob, I can't help but reflect on the first time I met him, and the last time we saw him.
We met in the mid-1980s when he came to pick up my sister at my parents' house. He was wearing a leather jacket of the era, his dark hair in a half-mullet style and of course he had the obligatory mustache. He was an imposing physical presence but what struck me was his great voice. There was no way to know that he would become an important part of our family, and even accompanied my sister to my wedding soon after that first meeting.
The last time I saw him was at Jessica's wedding in Mexico. There were many photos taken as he and Ginette walked her down the aisle. No matter what angle a picture was taken from, Rob was happier than I'd ever seen him and beaming with pride. It's a good way to remember him.
And so I just wanted to thank Rob for the gift of Justin and Jessica, and wish him a safe journey. Rest in peace and please give Jeremy a hug for me.
Farewell Rob.

Words fall short for expressing our family’s sadness for Rob’s passing. Something that always brings a smile to our hearts, is remembering happy family get-togethers with Fred, Shirley and “the Théberge boys” in Geneva, Switzerland those many years ago. May fond memories comfort and heal you in your grief. The Satchell Family.

Saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. So many great memories from high school and our impromptu reunions over the years. He was one of the good guys and a proud Dad. He has earned his wings and can fly free now.

I offer my sincere condolences to the Theberge family. Rob and I were friends in high school and most recently reconnected in 2010. It was great to see him again and to hear of the life he had made for himself. He also spoke fondly of his children. I know he will be missed.
