M condolences.
Doug was my boss in Valcartier in 1969. We got along great. I made him an omnidirectional speaker at that time.
He was there in tough times when Fred Rawn killed his wife and himself.
I met Doug again in the mid-nineties when I took a course of senior technicians on a trip to Ottawa and Montreal.
Sorry for your loss.

Doug was nice to chat with at the trailer. Very insightful, always had a good story. Corey loved crossing over to sit and chat military over a beer. He will be dearly missed by us. Our condolences go out to his family, whom he spoke so fondly of.

We are so very sorry for your loss.
Doug was a great friend. I always enjoyed his company when we saw each other.
For a number of years Doug always made me a Christmas tree ornament and every year I bring them out and find a special place on our tree. From this day forward it will mean even more.
Truly a wonderful man.

Ken and I are so sad to hear of the passing of our long time friend, Doug. Barb and I were close teen age friends. Much to our joy our husbands became close friends after our marriages. We have great memories of our visits with them. Doug was devoted to Barb especially during her illness and missed her so much. He was very proud of their children and talked about his sons and daughter often. He had a great laugh and a generous soul. We will miss you Doug. Thanks for being such a good friend. Our condolences to Lou Ann,Art, Mark and your families.

Doug befriended my wife and I when we became neighbors at Riverbend some 5 or 6 years ago. He was a great story teller and greatly enjoyed being basically the unofficial mayor of the park. He loved being part of everything that went on and was always ready to shoot the breeze with anyone stopping by his camp site. He was an incurable optimist and no matter how badly things sometimes went the thought of giving up never crossed his mind. We greatly enjoyed knowing Doug and we will greatly miss his personal warmth and friendship and his good sense of humour.

We were close friends with Doug for many years. He was everyone’s good neighbour and friend and always there if help was needed. He will have a special place in our hearts and we will always remember him for the close companionship we shared. He lived his life with a positive attitude and was an inspiration to us all.
