I worked with Greg for a number of years, and found him to be the most committed and solid individual one could ask to have as a peer. His strong sense of integrity was a refreshing addition to our team work. Rest In Peace, Greg.

It was with deep sadness that I heard of Greg”s passing. Greg and I worked together at the Government of Canada together for many years. I valued Greg’s insight and humour and his faithful way. I will miss him. My deep condolences to Susan and his wonderful boys that he spoke so highly of. Seems unfair as I ran into him back in the summer and caught up with him. RIP Greg.

I had the honour of working with Greg decades ago when I first joined the federal government. He was warm, kind and considerate, always willing to listen and lend a helping hand. A perfect colleague and a perfect gentleman. I renewed contact with Greg in recent years, delighting in his laughter and storytelling, his love of family and his integrity and compassion for others. A man with a big smile and even bigger heart. He has left us far too soon. My deepest condolences to Susan and the family.

I met Greg while employed at Crawley Films in Ottawa. We quickly became friends and continued to worked together on many film productions during the late 70’s and early 80’s.
Greg was energetic and athletic… able to shoot exciting action shots whenever needed. It was always a pleasure to work, travel or just hang out with Greg.
He was honest, sincere, funny, kind and thoughtful... a truly noble guy.
Our deepest sympathies to the Villeneuve family.

My sincere condolences to you and your family Thomas! I’m sadden to hear about the passing of your father. I can’t even begin to imagine how that feels. I will be thinking of him and your family during this hard time. Your father was one of my favorite soccer coaches, not because of how fun he made soccer practices feel but because of how passionate, caring and loving he was towards everyone. This world lost a good man, my heart goes out to you and your loved ones and may my prayers guide his soul to our Heavenly Father.
Stay strong!!

Sincere condolences to the Villeneuve family. I remember Greg as a kind and generous man with a big smile. One morning as I was waiting in line to pay my coffee, he paid his and mine just as a gesture of pure kindness and his desire to make someone's day a happy day. This was who Greg was. A good man. May God bless his heart.

Sue and family,
Our hearts are broken to hear about the sudden loss of Greg. His presence and energy were palpable whenever he entered the room. We know very well what "almost 34 years" feels like in a partnership ... Know that our minds are flooded with many good memories of Greg because he had that kind of impact on everyone he met. I recall hearing his voice on more than one occasion saying "all is copacetic" (even when it wasn't!) and "pas de sweat" (even when it was!).
Lifting you all up into the arms of Jesus as you walk this journey together.
Hugs and prayers, Robin and John

Dear Sue, Daniel, Ben, and Thomas. We are so sorry for your tragic and untimely loss. We will miss our dear neighbour from "a few doors down the street." It was always a pleasure to walk or drive by and wave to Greg in passing. We enjoyed our little chats at the end of the driveway while Molly or one of your other dogs waited patiently. We do celebrate his life as your family has been part of our lives for about 25 years. We will continue to pray for you. And remember.... we're just a few door down the street should you need anything.

Villeneuve family, very saddened to hear the news. His obituary speaks very well and true of Greg. Although I haven’t seen him in over 15 years, he’s someone who I have thought of on numerous occasions, especially when I’m frustrated and blurt out “Sheesh!”. (It’s been a while but 20 years ago it was a word I often heard playing out on the field)
Your husband/father really made a huge impression on me and his memory will forever be remembered.
