Dr. Karl was my first vet back in 1990 at St Laurent. He was one of a kind. Really interested in his work, very knowledgeable, focused and friendly. I am very sorry to hear he has gone to meet God.
I wish him and you, his family well.
May God bless you.

To Jan and to all of Tom's immediate family whom I have not had the pleasure to meet, my sincerest condolences for this great, great loss. I just heard from Ema. I am in shock! I had no idea that Tom was ill. I have not seen him for many years, but I have only the most wonderful and beloved memories of him from our times together in High School, to adventurous hikes, camping, skiing and hanging out in the country with Peter and Jan, et al. I am so sorry for your loss and wish you all great strength to weather this difficult time.
Sincerely,

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Thomas. My memory of Tom in veterinary school is that of a sincere and genuine person who prioritized listening over being heard. He seemed like someone who knew what was important in life, so I am not surprised that he was a successful and devoted family man and that he loved the great outdoors. Being on the opposite end of the province, I did not have the pleasure of getting to know Tom in our post-university lives, but I know if I had I would have been the better for it.
Susan, my thoughts and sympathy are with you and your children.

We are so very sorry for your loss.
Doctor Krall was our vet for both our two cats. Casper lived 20 years and our cat Cali is still a patient. We could see his care and kindness is so strong animals sense this. Cali and Casper both looked forward to seeing Dr. Krall.
We will always be grateful for all the good work he has done for all his patients.
He will be greatly missed.

Sue and Family
I cannot tell you how so, so sorry we are to hear of Tom's passing. It is just so difficult to process. Words can't express our emotions. We have been in a fog of disbelief since. Please know that we feel a certain selfish pride in saying that we got to know Tom Kral. First as a classmate and soon thereafter as a life long friend. We are the better for it. Unflappable calm demeanor, wit, humor and generosity kind of sums up the guy we knew. We will never forget Tom. Wish we had a chance for one more beer Tom.........Peace My Friend.
Thinking of you and your family today Sue. With you in spirit.

So many words come to my mind when thinking about the kind of person Thomas was. Kind hearted, caring, level headed, easy going, compassionate, fair, understanding, practical (red plaid), intelligent, particular (the way the paper towel roll had to be placed in the dispenser or that dogs were in one exam room and cats in another). Funny, family man (he was devoted to his wife and kids), and he was always ready for an adventure. As someone already said, what a smile.
I'm know I can speak for everyone at Trim and St Laurent, Thomas was like a dad to all of us. He was always a good ear to listen to our problems, and always knew just what to say. He never yelled at us, even for some really dumb things we've done. He would always just laugh it off, and imply "you'll never do that again." He wasn't a micromanager, he trusted us to do a good job.
I was fortunate enough to have visited with him a week before his death. He was still trying to enjoy life, that beautiful smile was still on his face. He wasn't complaining, or even worried about himself. His concern was his family. He said how proud he was of his children, and they were on a good path. He was truly a man of honor, a noble soul, an amazing person.
Dr. Thomas Kral, thank you for being you, we love you, we miss you. You've left a lasting impression on all our lives, your memory will live forever in our hearts.
To quote Ozzy from "life won't wait for you"
Stay strong,
Stay true,
Be brave,
It all comes down to you
We love you Thomas

My family - Tony, Genevieve, Adrian - and I would like to express our deepest condolences. We were shocked and saddened to hear the news, and that Tom passed away at such a young age. Tom was a childhood friend, and we all grew up together in Montreal and Brome. I have many memories of riding our bikes around Brome, the bike hikes when we were teenagers, skiing, climbing the beech tree, sand forts, Halloween and New Year's Eve parties, Cindy's puppies, etc.
Rest in peace, Tom. You are missed, and remembered with great fondness.

To the Kral family, we feel sadden about the news of Thomas. We have good memories of him thru the friendship Kiana and Erin developed at Louis Riel High School which continues strongly today. We remember him fondly hanging out with us one Halloween evening while the girls went thrick or treating. Nero, our family pet, benefitted from some wise vet care that evening, like don’t feed your dog, apples. Who knew?
Our thoughts are with you.

Sincere condolences for the loss of Tom, husband, father and friend. So premature the passing.
I remember Tom since he was a little lad, maybe 8 years old when I immigrated to Canada. Hana & Jerry Kral were wonderful parents to Jan and Tomas, and took me as their third son into their family for a while.
Remembering fondly the times we spent together over Christmas in Montreal or their country house in Brome.
Tom always impressed me with his kind heart and inquiring mind. When he served over few summers in Ottawa in Parliamentary Grenadier Guards, you would not find a better looking soldier.
My condolences to Sue and kids. We met Sue only briefly when holding Crump and Kral families dinner prior to their wedding in 1990.
Tom, your happy face and kind heart will be missed. Rest well my cousin.

My memories of Thomas date back to our time at the Ontario Veterinary College when Thomas, myself and Susan were members of the class of 1991. He was a classmate who was always ready to engage in a conversation with anyone in the class. I do not think I remember a single episode where he was not open and friendly and as a consequence, he was a foundation personality in that class.
I am glad he was part of that very special time in our lives.
I am truly sorry to hear of his passing and extend my heartfelt condolences to Susan and his family.

I am very sorry he has left the life of such a young man. He was my cousin. His father Jerry and my father Rudolf were brothers, both of whom came from Potštejn in northern Bohemia. I'm sorry I met Tomas only once (probably in 1970) when he was with his mother and my aunt Hana and his brother Jan on a visit in the Czech Republic. We visited Lešná Zoo Park near Zlín.
I pray that you will soon be able to cope with the loss of your beloved husband and father. I will think about you not only on Friday ...

Thomas was always so calm and easy going. I remember my first night closing, and I accidentally set off the fire alarm. "It's fine", he says. More recently, I locked the office keys inside the office. "Accidents happen" he told me. That was the type of person he was, he knew people made mistakes and didn't expect us to be perfect.
I am going to miss how he used to sing his rock tunes while doing surgery, how he was so patient with the fearful animals and how he would listen to my issues and try to fix them with "let me think about it."
I am still having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that he won't be walking through the back door in his red flannel shirt, shorts, green baseball cap, wool socks and hiking boots.
To the Kral and Crump family, my deepest condolences and biggest hugs go out to you. Thomas impacted many and he is already missed.

Dear Sue, It is with the utmost sadness that I learned of Tom's illness and death. I will always think of him (and you) fondly and our time spent at Christine's cottage: how Tom put up my "easy to assemble" tent in a flash after I had struggled with it for ages without success, then sitting around the fire until the early hours of the morning drinking beer and chatting. I was so surprised when Tom told me that my little dog Barney was "stubborn". Only with time did I fully understand the truth of what Tom spoke. My sincerest condolences to you and Erin and Damon.
