Obituary of Donald Kuiack
Passed away peacefully on May 25, 2018 at the age of 68, with his family by his side. Lovingly and forever remembered by his wife of 47 years Faye (O’Grady) and his sons Wayne (Share Duggan) and Mark (Sarah). Proud Grandpa of Ty, Petra, Katie-James and Katarina. Son of the late Edmund and Veronica (Hartley) Kuiack and brother to the late Dave (Pat) Kuiack, Don will be fondly remembered by his siblings Derek (Kelly), Dianne and Doug, his sisters-in-law Colleen O’Grady (Laurence Dumville) and Helen (the late Jim) O’Grady, his brother-in-law Ken (Marlene) O’Grady, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Don was born in Timmins, Ontario on June 22, 1949. After several stops in between, Don started a family in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, before settling in Ottawa (Orléans) in 1981. Don enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and was devoted to his family, attending hockey games, soccer matches and dance recitals with a deep pride in the people that mattered to him most. A quiet, kind and thoughtful man, Don saved his words for when they improved upon the silence—offering sage advice, lending sturdy support or just making people laugh. A gathering for family and friends will be held later this month to honour Don. In Don’s memory, do something he would do. Share a warm smile, hug a child or extend a kind gesture without expecting anything in return. It costs nothing—he would like that. Condolences can also be sent to: www.Heritagefh.ca
