Obituary of Satya Kapal

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Satya Vati Kapal.  She passed away on Monday, January 29th at the age of 99 with many loved ones by her side.  She will always be loved by her children - her late son Sehdev and her surviving sons Vijay, Ashok, Rajinder, Davinder, and Surinder, as well as her surviving daughters Prem, Neelam, and Suman.  The first half of her life was spent in India raising a large family, and the second half of her life was spent enjoying the fruits of her labor in Canada.  She took great joy in watching her family grow and flourish.  She welcomed her grandchildren and great grandchildren with love, patience, laughter and good food. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Heritage Funeral Home at 1250 Trim Road, on Friday February 2nd at 11 a.m.  A religious ceremony, followed by dinner, will take place on Saturday February 3rd from 4 - 6 p.m at the Hindu Temple of Ottawa-Carleton at 4835 Bank Street.  For condolences, please visit heritagehf.ca.
