Obituary of Mae Ku
Mae Ku, a long-time resident of Brockville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of Jesse Ku. Loving mother of Joyce (John Dunning) and Andrew. Cherished grandmother of Jessica. Born in Shenyang, China in 1926. Mae married Jesse Ku in Taiwan in 1952 and immigrated to Canada in 1967 seeking better opportunities for her young family. As a loving mother, she gave her family an idyllic life, was a proud patron of Brockville, supporting its arts & music and many local charities. She was an avid gardener, quilter and had amazing culinary skills. In 2017, she and Jesse celebrated their 65th anniversary. Mae lived a life that was fulfilled by the love of family and friends in Ottawa, Brockville, Taiwan and China. May she rest in peace. Mae's family recognizes the exceptional care given by the staff of the Madonna nursing home and thanks the doctors and nurses at the Hemodialysis Unit at the Ottawa General Hospital for their compassion and professionalism. A service and reception celebrating her life will be held at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, 206 Montreal Road, Ottawa on Saturday January 27, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
