I send my condolences to the family. I met John at Metcalfe golf course where he and I enjoyed many rounds. I played with him when he had his last Hole-in-one. As a fellow Scotsman, we shared a connection through Larkhall, which was my mother’s birth place. His many friends at the golf course will miss him.
