I had the pleasure of working with my nephew, Zach, this summer as he performed extensive public consultations for our utility scale solar farms under development in southern Alberta. Zach visited dozens of neighbors, and organized 8 open-houses, generating widespread awareness and public support. This beautiful step toward sustainability can in large part be credited to Zach's many sincere, patient, and honest one-on-one interactions. He was an honest, compassionate, kind, and indispensable member of our team, with a blindingly bright future. The world is truly poorer without him, and I will miss him dearly.

I first met Zach when interviewing him for a summer position on the Solar Decathlon team. In a very competitive pool of applicants, Zach's resume was a standout. After interviewing him, hiring him was a no-brainer. He exuded friendliness, intelligence, and likeability in excess. And we made the right decision. He was an integral part of the team, and I'm so glad we all got to know him and become friends with him. He was a great guy, and I'll always remember fondly the those times with him and our team.
