When we lose a loved one, our sorrow is immense. In those painful moments, we gather around those who are left behind to support them. Distance makes our presence impossible, but we hope that our thoughts of sympathy can bring you some comfort. Therese has left an indelible mark on our family with her welcoming smile and genuine embrace as our paths crossed all these years. Our most sincere condolences.

She left this world too early. I am so sorry for your loss. Although we live far away, I have many great memories of Aunt Therese. One of my favorites is when my dad and I came to visit for a few days and she showed me around Ottawa. She will be greatly missed but live on in our memories forever. Sending love from Thunder Bay.

John & family To lose such a wonderful, caring person at the prime of her life is so hard to understand. God needed her more. I am one of the 3 cousins born in 1951. We used to be so close, but life took us in different directions and I’m sorry to say, we lost touch. At least I did. John and family. Please accept our sincerest condolences. We will not be able to attend any of the funeral, but our thoughts and prayers will continue. Annette and Chuck Solly

Dear John and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I was lucky enough to be a client of Therese's at Treasury Board and worked closely with her for the last two years on our PCIS+ application. Therese was great at her job and she clearly loved it. But more than that she was a warm, funny and caring person with whom I enjoyed working. As I got to know her, she often told me stories of her family, especially her grandchildren who were close in age to my own children. It was clear that she was so very proud of her family. At the time she was helping to plan a wedding for your daughter and she was so pleased to be part of it. She was ever the optimist and had such faith that a solution could always be found. Whether it be for our application or for her cancer, she was unwavering in her positivity. I had lunch with her soon after she found that the cancer was back, and she was certain she would beat it again and actually seemed to be trying to make me feel better rather when she was the one dealing with such a battle. Please know that she has touched my heart and I am better off for having known her as we all are. My sincerest condolences, Dawn Pickering
