It is with great sorrow that we learned of the passing of our longtime family friend, Amy Tomita. Our family has such wonderful memories of Amy and George that span generations; beginning in Vancouver in the 1930's, through Montreal in the 60's and in Ottawa more recently. Each time we saw Amy and George, we were always struck by how well they supported each other and are happy to know that they lived long, fruitful lives together. As well they brought such a wonderful family to this world. We will miss Amy's presence but will cherish the thought that we were fortunate to have known such a wonderful person as Amy. With our deepest condolences, Den Enjo and family, Vancouver. September 2017

As the daughter of Amy Miyamoto, I have been blessed to have heard wonderful stories of The two Amy's as they grew up together. I have so much admiration for both George and Amy as well as gratitude for their steadfast support of our family. I am very sorry that she is gone and extend my deepest sympathies with the family. In time, I pray that the good memories will help ease the sadness. God be with you, Carol and John Silvius

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Amy. We have many fond memories of Amy and George when they pastored in Toronto. Amy was always a strong support for George. We looked forward to their yearly newsletters, and our phone conversations were always encouraging and uplifting. The \\\"Daily Word\\\" which they compiled, was filled with scripture verses and pictures from their flower garden. It has been a wonderful source of daily reflection and verse memorization. One of the verses from this booklet aptly describes their life: \\\"What the Lord requires is this: to do what is just, to show constant love and to live in humble fellowship with our God. - Micah6:8. With our love and blessings, Ray and Nancy Sora

Only a few days ago I was thinking of Amy and George and the memories that we all shared. Amy,Jean Scott and I came together so well as we started down the road of creating Cornwall's Meals on Wheels, little did we realize what was ahead of us. Amy gave so much of herself as she interviewed all the perspective recipients always going the extra mile when there was a need, and with her beautiful smile. How many stories I could tell. She is still very much one of my happy memories. May God bless her as she finds joy being reunited with her gentleman husband, George. I am sorry I am not able to personally extend my sympathy to all the family but I no longer drive at night and unfortunately have two appointments tomorrow. Blessings to all of you, sincerely Judy Anderson

Very sad to hear of Amy Tomita's passing. Rev. George and Amy Tomita were so proud of family accomplishments and looked forward to family reunions. Each member was a source of joy to them and we enjoyed reading about it in their Christmas news-letter each year. They were a lovely couple, so loving and giving in Christ. George and Amy were very good to my mother in her times of need, and we will always remember them fondly. I have vivid memories of them on our last visit several years ago, and after my Mother's passing, they called us each year on this anniversary with kind words of encouragement. I am eternally grateful to them for that. They are now together forever in God's presence. May they rest in peace in His loving arms. Prayers for the family, and loving thoughts of this amazing couple. Amy is on her final joyful journey home. Love and God Bless you all. With heartfelt condolences, Nav and Claudette Chander and our children, Justin and Jessica.
