Obituary of Élodie Piecki

Passed away peacefully at Madonna, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the age of 102. Beloved wife of the late Émile Piecki (2009) for 69 years. Dearly loved mother of Gabrielle Forsyth (Bob), Diane Nesrallah (Bud), Lucie Lajoie (George) and Denise Piecki. Predeceased by her sons André (Jacqueline) and Raymond (Ginette). Dear grandmother of Francine Bouthillier (Roger), Tania Nesrallah, Sophie Gascon (Yves), Benoit Piecki (Cynthia), James Nesrallah (Natasha) and Christopher Nesrallah. Predeceased by her grandson Justin Nesrallah. Also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Rosina Dumouchel (the late Armand) and brother Camille Dubois (Claire). Mom will be lovingly remembered for her love of family, kindness, courage, fantastic memory, joie de vivre and her beautiful smile. The family will greet relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans, on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A religious ceremony will be held at St. Sébastien Church, 1000 Frances Ave., Ottawa, on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of the Madonna Family Council Members and Queenswood Villa, as well as to caregivers Elgita, Margo, Barbara, Anamarija, Samantha and the late Carol for their care and compassion. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Gabrielle Forsyth (Bob), Diane Nesrallah (Bud), Lucie Lajoie (George) et Denise Piecki ; ses petits-enfants : Francine Bouthillier (Roger), Tania Nesrallah, Sophie Gascon (Yves), Benoit Piecki (Cynthia), James Nesrallah (Natasha) et Christopher Nesrallah ; ses 8 arrière-petits-enfants. Elle fut prédécédée par ses fils : André (Jacqueline) et Raymond (Ginette), son petit-fils Justin Nesrallah, sa soeur Rosina Dumouchel (feu Armand) et son frère Camille Dubois (Claire). On se souviendra de son amour pour la famille, sa bonté, son courage, sa mémoire fantastique, sa joie de vivre et son beau sourire. La famille recevra parents et amis au Salon funéraire Héritage, 1250, ch. Trim, Orléans, le vendredi 16 octobre 2015 de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. Le service religieux aura lieu en l’église Saint-Sébastien, 1000, rue Frances, Ottawa, le samedi 17 octobre 2015 à 11h. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons peuvent être faits à un organisme de votre choix. La famille désire remercier le personnel du Madonna et de la Villa Queenswood, ainsi qu’a Elgita, Margo, Barbara, Anamarija et feu Carol pour les bons soins prodigués durant cette période difficile.
