My heartfelt condolences go out to Norm's family. I am so saddened to hear that Norm has left this world. I had the extreme pleasure of working with him at the City. He was always smiling and so very pleasant to be around. Heaven is much brighter with him there.

In 1975, i started a new job at the City and Norm was my boss. I was very intimidated at first but soon realized I had the best boss in the world, the most patient and gentle guy willing to put up with a rowdy young crew and also have a little fun! He was a great mentor to me and became a very dear friend. My condolences to Diane and their wonderful family.

I worked with Norm years ago when men wore bright wide ties (think Norm had a few). We provided development information at City Hall. Norm was a friend you could trust who always was there for you and provided me with easy going advice and solutions on everyday issues. His sense of humour and laughter were larger than life and he had many good jokes to share with our group. I still miss our Friday morning donut (staff) meetings. He will be missed, but I'm sure my Mom and Dad will keep him company upstairs in heaven. My condolences to Diane and family.
