I just heard today about Guys passing. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Guy always had a smile and a hug. And never passed people without saying hello. He was a great person. I hope you all find peace and know he touched a lot of people. He was a great father and from what I have heard a great teacher. A shy person at times but loved watching his kids play hockey and soccer and cheered them on with his passion as I witness that. All our love thru this pain. Liz Rheaume and kids especially Zack.

Tant d’années passées à transmettre ses connaissances ses excellents conseils à ses étudiants. Il a marqué mon passage à La Cité. Tes cours étaient des plus intéressants et tu les enseignais comme un livre ouvert en discutant avec nous comme des membres de ta propre famille. Généreux, amicale, simple et toujours prêt à lancer une blague et pour une bonne bouteille de Château neuf du pape ! Mes sympathies à toute la famille......j`ai eu la chance de côtoyer Guy à La Cité à partir de 2001, et lorsqu`il enseignait, à quelques occasions que j`allais lui donner du support technique pendant un de ses cours, juste avant de sortir de classe il me rappelait toujours cette phrase : `` Merci Sylvain pour ton support technique à ma salle de classe, et n`oublie pas une chose mon homme , ce que tu fais pour les autres, c`est jamais perdu......`` Merci Guy pour ce précieux conseil et repose en paix....... Merci Guy (et Judy et les enfants) de nous avoir accueillis si souvent pour partager en famille des moments de bonheur, de bonne bouffe, de parties de cartes et autres jeux de société et de chants en choeur, allant des airs de The Sound of Music, des Beatles et, bien sûr, des cantiques de Noël . Même après ton premier séjour à l\'hôpital cette année, alors que tu as goûté pleinement à ces dernières semaines de ta vie, tu me disais: je vais inviter tout le monde pour un BBQ l\'été prochain. Tu peux être fier de ta vie. Tu as été enjoué, généreux, présent pour chaque membre de ta famille, accueillant pour les conjoint(e)s et ami(e)s. Même pendant les périodes difficiles, tu trouvais le moyen de voir le côté positif: tu disais «you know what? it\'s all good». As the Golden Girls theme song says, \"Thank you for being a friend\". I consider myself so lucky and privileged to have had you as a friend. Throughout our 56 years of friendship, we have had some incredibly fantastic moments (especially going out to bars) and also some disagreements which only served to reinforce our camaraderie. I am so glad that I visited you in February after your first stay in the hospital. I still remember your reaction to my surprise visit as we both teared up. We spent a memorable weekend together having pizza on Friday night and Chinese food on Saturday night. We were even able to \"jam\" together with Ray and I am sure you were glad to get out of the house. I will always cherish our many years of friendship and especially our last weekend together. You will forever be in my heart. The only good thing coming out of your early departure is that we will someday see each other again. Rest in peace good buddy.

Mon cher Guy, Je suis très contente d\'avoir eu l\'occasion de te revoir une dernière fois. Tu avais l\'air calme et détendu et tu as reçu de bons soins.
