Obituary of Lena Harrison

Recipient of Queen Elizabeths Golden Jubilee Medal On November 20, 2015, Lee passed away after a long struggle with cancer. Daughter of the late Bert Thornton and Marguerite Shearer. She leaves to mourn her children, Robert (Sylvie), Tina Hamel, Richard (Line) and her two grandchildren, Shayna Hamel and Jonathan Harrison. Surviving are brothers Russell, John, Brian, Murray and Glen and sisters Helen, Phyllis and Shirley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Leslie, Thomas and Armour (Jim) and sister Ruth. Lee spent 45 years working for the RCN Benevolent Fund. The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd. (corner of Taylor Creek Dr.), Orléans, on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Thursday, November 26, 2015 from 10 – 11 a.m. The funeral ceremony will be held in the Heritage Chapel on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. Inurnment at Dale Cemetery.
