Obituary of Laurianne Piquette

Entourée de sa famille, le 16 mars 2021, à l’âge de 76 ans, est décédée madame Laurianne Piquette (née Chrétien), fille de feu Carolus Chrétien et feu Claire Chrétien (Lajeunesse) et épouse adorée de Joseph Piquette, d’Ottawa. Originaire de Lavigne, elle a habité à Sudbury pendant plusieurs années avec sa famille et par la suite, à Ottawa. Elle fut la mère dévouée de Suzanne (Luc), Nicole, Lina (Jean-Denis) et la grand-maman adorée de ses petits-enfants, Justin et Émilie Lachapelle, Élissa et Mathieu Cameron, Alexandre et Isabelle Racine, Gabrielle et Samuel Bernier. Elle laisse dans le deuil son frère Germain (Pauline) Chrétien et ses soeurs Jeannine Savary (feu Stanley), Jackie Lalonde (feu Rhéal), Suzanne (Maurice) Lafrenière, Marielle (Jean-Pierre) Gaudet, sa belle soeur Rollande (feu Laurent) et plusieurs beaux-frères et belles-sœurs de la famille Piquette. Elle fut précédée par sa sœur Raymonde Shultz, son jumeau Laurent Chrétien et son frère Florent Chrétien (Rosa). Elle laisse également dans le deuil plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et autres parents et précieux amis. On se souviendra d’elle comme une femme forte, croyante, généreuse, et débordante d’énergie. Elle avait un amour inconditionnel pour ses filles, ses petits-enfants et son époux. C’était le pilier de sa famille. Elle était reconnue pour son accueil chaleureux et savait garnir une table digne des plus grands restaurants. Elle avait également une oreille attentive pour quiconque en avait besoin. La famille voudrait remercier particulièrement Nurse On Board, Stéphanie Whyte, pour son soutien et ses conseils durant ces derniers mois. La gentillesse de l’équipe du 5e plancher de l’hôpital Général fut très remarquable et la famille tient à les remercier du fond du cœur. Un merci sincère à toute l’équipe au centre de cancérologie, particulièrement ses oncologistes Drs Froeschil et Goodwin d’avoir bien pris soin de notre maman. La famille recevra parents et amis au Complexe funéraire Héritage, 1250 ch. Trim, Orléans, le dimanche 8 août 2021 de 12h à 14h. Une cérémonie religieuse suivra en la chapelle Héritage à 14h. Originally from Lavigne, she lived in Sudbury for several years with her family and then in Ottawa. She was the devoted mother of Suzanne (Luc), Nicole, Lina (Jean-Denis) and the adored grandmother of her grandchildren, Justin and Émilie Lachapelle, Élissa and Mathieu Cameron, Alexandre and Isabelle Racine, Gabrielle and Samuel Bernier. She is survived by her brother Germain (Pauline) Chrétien and her sisters Jeannine Savary (late Stanley), Jackie Lalonde (late Rheal), Suzanne (Maurice) Lafrenière, Marielle (Jean-Pierre) Gaudet, her sister-in-law Rollande (late Laurent ) and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Piquette family. She was predeceased by her late sister Raymond Shultz, her twin brother, Laurent Chrétien and her brother Florent Chrétien (Rosa). She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, cousins and other relatives and precious friends. She will be remembered as a strong, generous, and energetic woman with a strong faith. She had an unconditional love for her daughters, her grandchildren and her husband. She was the rock of her family. She was known for her warm welcome, and good food. She also had an attentive ear for anyone who needed it. The family would particularly like to thank Nurse On Board, Stéphanie Whyte, for her support and advice during the past few months. The kindness of the team from the 5th floor of the General Hospital was greatly appreciated and the family would like to thank them from the bottom of their hearts. A sincere thank you to the entire team at the cancer center, especially her oncologists Dr. Froeschil and Dr. Goodwin for taking good care of our mom.
