If there was one word to describe “Pap”, unique comes to mind. He was strong, stubborn and bold. In the words of Frank Sinatra - “he did it his way”. I often remember his famous phrases- “my way or the highway”; “3 strikes and you are out”; “beta you can do ANYTHING wrong in life but don’t ever lie to me”. I quickly learned it was not in my best interest to ever lie to him or even twist the truth a little bit. In fact I quickly learned to never say “no” to him. It was ok, because for those of you who knew him- if you “peeled the onion” you would realize “Pap” was one of the most generous, honest, caring, helpful and loving souls. Upon countless occasions I witnessed his selfless acts to help those who needed a helping hand. Pap never discriminated- it didn’t matter who you were, how privileged or unprivileged, what your wrongdoing was, he was prepared to listen and help! Pap was a loyal husband and a very loving father. His values were passed down to his children and will live on for generations. For those of you who really knew him, I’m certain my thoughts will resonate. Pap lived his life to the fullest and left on his terms- exactly how he wanted! I am at peace because I know he knew that I respected him and loved him. I love you Pap and may your soul Rest In Peace and god bless you! Your son, Sumit!
