My sincerest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Mother, Olivia and Timothy and to Nicole’s family and friends. I have learned of the passing of Nicole and feel it deeply. Nicole and I worked closely together for a few years at the City of Guelph, she as the supervisor of Web Services and Project Management, while I supervised the City Business Systems. We became good friends and strong colleagues and kept in contact after I retired in 2010. She, Olivia and Timothy, visited our cottage in the summer a few times as they settled back into Sudbury life, and from there, we were able to drive up and meet a few times. In her own proud and strong evolution, she continued searching for the best place and life for herself and the kids. Ottawa and the IRDC seemed a really good fit, but being farther afield, we didn’t connect in person the last couple of years. I ended up moving closer (Kingston) and we had hoped to meet ... as the pandemic hit. What a loss of a fun, intelligent and brave woman who loved life, shared joy and lived with grace to benefit of her children.
