I met maman (Rita) on Thanksgiving of 1963. We got along from the start and there never was a cross word between us in over 57 years . She treated me as if I was her own son and I always thought of her as a mother to me. Rest In Peace maman , you certainly deserve it.

Mum, everyday l truly felt that I had a sincere mother’s love from you. You were my teacher from schooldays (yukky homeworks). You showed me the tricks of the trade in cooking, sewing ect ect. You were my sister in many many travels as well as attending dozens and dozens of concerts over the years. Many times we giggled like 2 teenagers and laughed till we cried. You were my confidant and my friend year after year. Forever day after day you will be living deep in the bottom of my heart with TRISH and will receive my endless thoughts and love XXXX

Ma chère Rita, un des plus beau souvenir pour moi était quand nous sommes allés en Turquie, le chameau , Amsterdam, les fêtes et quand Lynn et moi avons passé la journée avec toi et avons rie de la soupe à Pat. Tu aura toujours une grande place dans mon cœur et je suis chanceuse de t’avoir connue. Je sais que tu vas toujours checkers sur Pat et Darrell tu es aussi en bonne compagnies. What an amazingly kind, soft spoken, loving and generous person. I feel honoured to have many memories of Maman on family occasions at Aunt Pat and Uncle Darrell's house. To the family of Rita, please accept my most sincere condolences. I worked with Rita in the Philatelic Department of Canada Post, many years ago. I also came across her one day about 8 years ago as she was entering a store, and I was really surprised that she still remembered me. I have many fond memories of Rita. God bless.
